Housing and Philosophy Researcher | Community-led Housing Advocate
I am a PhD researcher at the University of Bristol exploring housing philosophy, speculative design, community-led housing and innovations in housing policy. I write too on wider areas of philosophical interest, namely explorations of space, time and the Anthropocene, as well as reflective content on the contemporary tensions of the university.
My professional background is a mix of consultancy, research and town planning, specialised in social housing and community-led housing. Most recently, I was the Interim CEO of Bristol Community Land Trust (Bristol CLT). Serving on its board presently, I am currently Bristol CLT's Secretary and Interim Project Committee Chair. I continue, through my multiple avenues, advocate for community-led housing, especially in Bristol, where I am based.
I have presented at numerous conferences, including the American Comparative Literature Association's Annual Meeting 2024 or the Housing Studies Association 2024 Conference. I too have been published a range of non-academic outputs, namely while working at the New Economics Foundation, and have been interviewed on BBC News on policy matters. My pieces at NEF can be found here. A list of my publications in academic outputs is displayed below.
I am always keen to collaborate and work on research and practice projects; I regularly assist projects alongside my current research. If you would like to get in touch to discuss a project, or to just generally discuss my research, please use the contact button at the bottom of this page.
